Robert C. McCrae

            Services will be 12:00 noon on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Word and Music Ministries located in the Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Churchill-Hubbard Rd., Youngstown 44505  for Mr. Robert C. McCrae, Jr, 68, of Youngstown, who entered eternal rest on Friday, August 10, 2018.

            Mr. McCrae was born August 23, 1949 in Youngstown, a son of Robert C. Sr. and Alice Robinson McCrae.  He was a 1968 graduate of South High School and had been employed with U. Steel Corporation and Caprice Nursing Home.  Robert was a member of Word and Music Ministries, where he was a vocalist, Deacon, and chief maintenance officer.  He was an artist and singer; loved sports, cooking, and gardening.  In his earlier years, he was a boxer.

            He leaves to cherish his beloved memory, his wife, the former Pamela Withers, whom he married October 19, 1997; three children, LaTonia McCrae of Youngstown, Robert (Lashonna) McCrae III and Daryl McCrae both of Columbus; stepchildren, Min. Rocci (Damika) Withers of Columbus and Tyrone Withers of Youngstown; siblings, Patricia (John) Brown of Florida, Harold (Deadra) McCrae of Atlanta, GA, Judy Smith of Columbus, Linda McCrae of Youngstown and Gary (Melody) McCrae of Georgia; 8 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a brother, Charles McCrae, grandson, Tyshawn; and stepson, Marschell.

            Friends may call Friday, from 11:00 – 12:00 noon at the church.  Arrangements entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
