Rhoderick Lloyd Love

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home, for Mr. Rhoderick Lloyd Love who departed this life on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Oasis Nursing Home.

 Mr. Love was born April 3, 1939 in Alliance, a son of Joseph Jr. and Catherine L. Saunders Love.  He was a graduate of Alliance High School and had been employed for Chrysler Corporation in the stamping plant for over 31 years.  He loved watching television westerns, playing backgammon and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.                                                      

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 32 years, the former Sheila Pope, whom he married in Hawaii January 5, 1986; two sons, Rhoderick Dwayne (Necie) Love and Bradford Lloyd (Yvette) Love both of Alliance; his stepchildren, Darrell (Jeanette) Pope of Youngstown, Venetta M. Jones of New Castle, Pamela (Jeffrey) Tremble of Virginia and Carl E. Jones Jr. of Fayettsville, N.C.; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.                            

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Shawn Barnes; his brother, George Love; and two sisters, Joanna Love and Veronica Douglas. 

Friends may call one hour prior to the service 9-10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
