Services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 238 Bright Ave., Campbell, Oh. 44405, for Mrs. Mildred Ann Douglas, 86, of Columbia, Maryland, formerly of Campbell, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 13, 2019 at Always Caring Assisted Living Facility in Columbia, Md.
Mildred was born August 25, 1932, in Campbell, a daughter of Robert E. Sr. and Elizabeth Jones Thomas. A graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, Mildred worked as a clerk for Republic Steel and retired from The Youngstown Board of Education where she worked as a secretary. A member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Mildred remained faithful and active until her health failed. She enjoyed traveling, sewing and spending time with family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her beloved memory, a son, James T. (Shana) Douglas Jr., of Columbia, MD; a granddaughter, Alexandra of Columbia, MD; a brother, Robert E. Thomas Jr. of Campbell; two sisters, Agnes T. Kea of Youngstown and Margie Morales of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Besides her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by a brother, Joel Thomas.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements were entrusted L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.
