Michael Carver

Services will be 11:00am Monday at L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home for Mr. Michael Carver 62, who departed this life January 31, 2018.  Mr. Carver was born October 31, 1955 in St. Louis, MO a son of James C. and Mae Ella Moore Carver.  He was an Air Force Veteran and a graduate of The Rayen High School. He had been employed in the Maintenance Department of Mill Creek MetroParks for over 18 years. He had been a former member of New Bethel Baptist Church where he served with the Brotherhood Ministry and was an avid reader and historian of the Bible.  He loved being with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his children a daughter Corey and a son Michael II Carver both of Sacramento, Ca.; a godson Justin Williams of Youngstown; his sisters Gwendolyn Carver of Los Angeles, Vivian (Charles) Ehizuelen of Dallas, TX and Natasha (Chris) Bradley of Farmington Hills,MI; his grandchildren Michael Worthen, Michael Carver III and Marquel Carver all of Sacramento; his caregiver and niece April Carver of Youngstown and a host of Aunts, Uncles , cousins, nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers; Anthony Carver, Larry, Donald and Andre’ Carver.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service 10-11:00am at the funeral home.  Interment will  be at  Belmont Park Cemetery.
