Maggie R. Forney

Mrs. Maggie R. Forney died peacefully at home on February 5th in Green, Ohio at the age of 93.

Maggie is survived by her son, James (Cindy) of Green, and grandson James (Heather) of Alliance. She is preceded in death by her husband James, daughter Sherry and brother John C.

Maggie was born on April 7, 1924 in New Castle, PA to John C & Eleanor Shepherd Johnson. She graduated from New Castle High in 1942 and married James on November 17, 1945. While residing in Youngstown, Maggie worked for William Cafaro & Assoc. and Youngstown City Schools (John White) as a reading aide for over 25 years retiring in 1989.

She was a member, and stewardess at St. Andrewes AME Church as well as a member of the “Modernetts” club.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, February 10 at St. Andrewes AME Church, 521 W Earle Ave, Youngstown, OH 44511 at 10:00 a.m. Family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.
