Madeline Amos Obituary

            Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mrs. Madeline Amos, 80, of Youngstown, who made her transition from this life to eternal rest on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

            Mrs. Amos was born October 21, 1938 in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Lillian Singleton Bowles and was raised by her aunt, Gussie Singleton McDonald Lott.  She was a 1957 graduate of Ursuline High School and had worked with the Youngstown City Schools, retiring in 1983.  Madeline was a member of Tabernacle of Praise C.O.G.I.C., where she served as church mother and secretary.  She also played piano for Centenary United Methodist Church for several years.  She was a member of the Red Hatters, and enjoyed cooking, sewing, communicating with others and spending time with her family.

            She leaves to cherish her beloved memory three children, Rachell Joy of Struthers, Liebchen (Ronnie) Cullins of Warren and Zaneta (Sean) Griffin of Youngstown; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her brother, Richard (Bobiejean) Lott of Warren; and a host of family and friends.

            She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

            Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
