Lillie Thomas Obituary

             Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at the L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home in Youngstown for Mrs. Lillie M. Thomas, 91, who departed this life May 9 at Steward Health North Side Hospital.  
             Mrs. Thomas was born Jan. 1, 1927, in Sanisville, Ga., a daughter of Mance and Burena Lewis Jordan.  She had been employed at various restaurants as a cook. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Fire Baptized Holiness Church, where she was Mother of the church, member of the choir and mission. She loved reading her Bible and helping others. She was the former owner of the McGuffey Road Dairy Queen.
            She leaves to cherish her memory and rejoice in her peace, seven children, Dolly Washington, Lillie Spencer, Edwina Thomas, Edward Thomas, Emanuel Thomas, Eldorado Thomas and Erick Thomas; two sisters, Mattie Phillips and Nonnie Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
            She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Thomas; four sisters, Viola Heard, Katherine Kornigay, Effie Haynes and Nellie Williams; and three brothers William, Euylee and Manze Jordan.  
            Friends may call one hour prior to the services from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
