Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mrs. Lillie Mae McRae, 84, who departed this life Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Caprice Health Care.

Mrs. McRae was born March 12, 1933, in Monroe, La., a daughter of Bruce Johnson, Sr. and Augusta Goins.

She had worked at Moyers Manufacturing and Cafaro Hospital as a nurses aide, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, and the Buckeye Elks-Naomi Temple No. 124. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.

She leaves to forever cherish her memory, six children, Deborah McRae, Phyllis, Michael (LaDonna) McRae and Dennis McRae, all of Youngstown, Donald McRae Jr of Pensacola, Fla., and Joseph (Joan) McRae of Hickory, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Simmons of Jena, La.; an aunt, Ann Davis Watson of Toledo; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, including, Georgia Dunlap of Lima and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Bruce Johnson Jr., Norman Johnson, Jesse Goins and James Goins.
