Ms. Kimberly Denise Alexander, 51, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois.
Kimberly, was born July 26, 1967 in Youngstown, a daughter of Ernest and Althanet Coleman Alexander. She was a 1985 graduate of The Rayen School and Choffin Career Center with a certificate in accounting. Kimberly was employed by the State of Ohio Department of Development as a Supportive Housing Specialist for 24 years. She loved traveling in her spare time, spending time with family, grandchildren, sisters and most of all she enjoyed shopping.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her two daughters, Chantelle (Rafeal) Salter-Norman of Detroit, MI, and Chanelle Salter of Canal Winchester; three grandchildren, Aniya Monet Salter, Syria Jane and Rafael Tafari Norman; siblings, Dorothy (Bruce Sr.) Sims and Joyce Alexander of Liberty, Hakim Luqmaan of Christiansburg, VA, Rev. Larry Alexander of Austintown, Patricia Alexander and Cindy (Rev. Keith) Neal of Girard, LaVonne (Steven) Brinkley of Columbus, James (Evory) Johnson of Monroe, LA, and Daisy (Frank) Childs of Milledgeville, GA and Sherry Ray Alexander, Sr. of Youngstown; a dear family friend, Ray Guy of Columbus; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her eldest sister, Ernestine Alexander; nephew, Anthony Brock; and grandparents, Willie and Lola Mae Coleman.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Phillips Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 1407 Victor Ave, Youngstown. Funeral Services will follow immediately at 10:00 a.m.
