Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Ms. Judi Lynne Gooden, 50, of Hampton, GA., who departed this life Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia.

Ms. Gooden, affectionately known as “Cissy”, was born May 2, 1967 in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Marilou Johnson Gooden.  She was a 1985 graduate of Henry Ford High School in Detroit, MI and received her physical therapist license in 2004 from Henry Ford Community College.  Judi was a physical therapist assistant, retiring in 2012.  A proud cancer survivor, Judy enjoyed crocheting and playing the organ. Judi spent countless hours enjoying her son, Jaylaim, and engaging in activities that enhanced his life.

Saddened hearts left to miss her presence, and rejoice in her transition is her mother of Hampton, GA; her beloved son, Jaylaim Blake of Hampton, GA; her sisters, Charlene Parker, Sherry Sanders, Barbara Ann Crawford, and Tammy Johnson; her brother, Terry Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, three siblings, Jeffrey Riddle, Jr., Linda Johnson and Anthony Johnson; her grandparents, John and Willa Johnson, and James A. and Alice Gooden.

Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
