Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 25, 2017, at the Union Baptist Church for Mrs. Janice Denise Dumas, 55, who departed this life Sept. 17, 2017, at her home.

Mrs. Dumas was born Feb. 22, 1961, in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Delores Moore Wright.

She attended Youngstown City Schools. She had been employed at Dutchess Cleaners and attended the Union Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir.

She married the love of her life, Nathaniel “Penney” Dumas Jr. on Feb. 22, 1977. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, two sons, Nathaniel Dumas III and Damon (Alisha) Dumas; her daughter, Tahesia Dumas; her stepchildren, LaQuanna and Shameka Dumas, all of Youngstown; two brothers, James and David Wright; sisters Geraldine (Willie) Provitt, Diane Hamilton Wright and Carolyn and Shawna Wright; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Jr., who passed away Sept. 21, 2006; and two brothers, Bernard and Tony Wright.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
