Services will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mr. James Lee Mosley, Jr., 85 of San Diego, California, formerly of Youngstown, who departed this life Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the University of California San Diego Hillcrest Hospital.

Mr. Mosley was born December 1, 1932 in Marietta, GA, a son of James Lee Sr. and Marie A. Housche Mosley.  He had been employed as a Mid Level Executive with Ohio Bell, retiring after 31 years of service.  Mr. Mosley was a member of The Rock Church in San Diego, its Hospitality and Mission Ministries.  He was a published author and had written three (3) books.  He enjoyed writing, cooking, community services and helping the homeless.  He was a U. S. Army veteran.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three children, Juliana Mosley of Philadelphia, PA, Abigail Mosley of San Diego, CA, and Michael (Linda) Singleton of Houston, TX; his brother, William J. (Joanne) Mosley of Youngstown; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, James L. Mosley III and Myrinda Johnson; and a grandson, Raamon Johnson.
