Services will be 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mr. Herbert Womack, Jr., 67 of Youngstown, who departed this life on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Northside Medical Center.
Mr. Womack, lovingly known as “Bo”, was born November 1, 1950 in Youngstown, a son of Herbert Sr. and Rita Manning Womack. He was a 1969 graduate of East High School. “Bo” had worked at LTV Steel – Republic Works; Baker’s and Lustig’s Shoe Stores. He most recently had work as a chef at the Mahoning County Job and Family Services for 10 years. As a young man, “Bo” was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, and presently attended Fifth Avenue Community Church. He enjoyed cooking, dancing, music, western movies and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rita, of Youngstown; three children, Andre` Morgan, Yuvonka McKinney and Tracey Adams all of Youngstown; seven grandchildren; a great grandson; his devoted companion of 50 years, Janet Salter; and a host family and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Annie Womack; and two brothers, Gary and Claude Womack.
Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
