Engracia Cruz

Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church, 155 Lansdowne Blvd., Youngstown for Mr. Engracia Cruz, 100, of Youngstown who departed this life on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Health Center – Youngstown.

            Mr. Cruz was born April 10, 1918 in Puerto Rico, a son of Engracia Cruz and Eujenia Venitez.  He came to this area in 1952.  He had worked for the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company, retiring in 1980.  He was a member of the Spanish SDA Church, a former Deacon and presently an Elder. 

            He leaves to cherish his beloved memories, his wife, the former Amanda Montalban, whom he married April 6, 1997; a daughter, Nieve Aguayo of Puerto Rico; three sons, Juan Aguayo of Puerto Rico, Ismael Aguayo Venitez of Georgia; and Paul Cruz of California; a brother, Candelo; nine grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

            He was preceded in death by his parents and four children.

            Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church.  Funeral services will follow immediately.  Arrangements entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
