Services will be Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mrs. Dorothy J. Bailey, 82, of McDonald, Ohio who transitioned from death to eternal life on April 5, 2017 at Vista Care at the Ridge.

Mrs. Bailey, affectionately known as “Aunt Dot”, was born January 31, 1936 in Niles, Ohio, a daughter of Sidney and Ethel Epps Joe.  She was a 1955 graduate of McDonald High School and received her LPN license in Philadelphia.  She had worked at Superior Industries and did private duty nursing for over 20 years.  She was a former member of Church of Hope Spiritual; the Harvest Chapter #7 where she served as secretary; and Elizabeth Grand Chapter O.E.S. in Cleveland, Ohio.  Dorothy enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling, and was a seamstress.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Felicia R. Joe; three grandchildren, LaToya M., Sydney M. and Marti`n L. Rodriguez Joe; her sister, Naomi B. Little; her brother, Sidney Joe, Jr. all of McDonald; her furry grandpets, Sparta and Salvadore and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Lenzell Joe; and her cat, Bootsie.

Friends may call Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
