Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. On Saturday September 29, 2018 at Pilgrim Baptist Church for Debra Cobbin, 67, of Youngstown, who the Lord called home on Saturday, September 23, 2018.
Ms. Cobbin was born July 5, 1951 in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Pearl Burton Cobbin. She was a 1969 graduate of North High School. She worked for Youngstown City Health Department for over 33 years. Debra was a lifelong member of Pilgrim Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, was a former trustee and drummer. She enjoyed bowling, tennis ,soft ball, was a manager of many soft ball teams. She loved all sports, her favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers. Debra loved family gatherings, and family vacations.
She leaves to cherish her memory a brother, Derrick (Monica) Cobbin, of Youngstown; two sisters, Tanya Shade of Youngstown and Tiffany (Derrick) Bowman of Boardman; one aunt, Mary Robinson, of Youngstown, a special nephew, Jesse Miller III two special nieces, Tanisha Miller and Naquita Shade who she helped to raise. And a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephew, other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30- 9:30 a.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
