Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, for Mr. Darnell Cameron Green, Sr., 47 of Youngstown, who transitioned from this life on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
Mr. Green was born January 17, 1971 in Youngstown, a son of Victor Nixon, Sr. and Charlotte Green-Nixon. Darnell was self-employed and a member of the Buckeye Elks. He loved sports and was an avid Dallas Cowboys and L. A. Lakers fan.
He leaves to cherish his beloved memory, his father, Victor of Youngstown; his devoted wife, the former Charmayne L. Oliver, whom he married August 29, 2009; seven children, Shaqualle Green, Makiah Aziz, Joshua Underwood, TaShaun, Tieranny and Tasia Letlow, and Cymone (Eric) McDill; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Victor Green and Ayana Green; other siblings; a loving aunt, Marjorie Brooks who helped rear him; a special uncle, Clifford Banks; godmother, Marsha Fant; and a host of other family, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte; a son, Darnell Green Jr; a cousin, Donell Brooks who was like a brother to him; uncle, Yarnell C. Green; and grandparents, Charles A. and Gwendolyn Green, and Twelvena Scott.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
