Mr. Charles Raymond Bailey, 77, of Youngstown, Ohio, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 5, 2017. 

Mr. Bailey was born July 13, 1939, a son of Robert Charles and Margaret Wilson Bailey.  He had worked as a steelworker at U. S. Steel Corporation, and on various handyman jobs.  Mr. Bailey loved the Lord and was ordained an elder; and was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and sports, especially Ohio State University and all Ohio teams.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, the former Beverly Shaw, of South Carolina; four sons, Charles R. (Judy Ann) Bailey, Jr. of Seattle, WA, Robert C. Bailey, Sr., of Pittsburgh, PA, Eugene R. (Dita) Bailey stationed in Japan and Wilburt (Charmaine) Bailey of Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter, Gloria Bailey of Pittsburgh; 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert E. Bailey of Youngstown; and a host of family and friends.

Elder Bailey was preceded in death by his father, and mother, Margaret Robertson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.  at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will follow immediately at 2 p.m.
