Services will be Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the L. E. Black,Phillips and Holden Funeral for Ms. Bernadette Marie Chandler, 72, of Boardman who entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Ms. Bernadette Marie Chandler was born June 3, 1946 in Mobile, Alabama, a daughter of Herman Chandler and Marie Ella Mae Houston, coming to this area as a child. She was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and received her Associate Degree from Youngstown State University. She was employed as a quality control inspector with Packard Electric and Delphi, retiring after 39 years of service. As a former member of Mt. Olive Church, Bernadette enjoyed praying, cooking, traveling, shopping, eating, and spending time with her family and friends. She liked to watch movies. She enjoyed connected with people on a spiritual level. She loved to read books, especially the Bible. She loved to talk and learn from people. One of her greatest desires was to have grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her beloved memory, two sons, Atreus H. Chandler of Fontana, CA; and Bernard L. Chandler of Boardman, OH; a granddaughter, Bernadette Marie Chandler of Fontana, CA; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Herman and Marie Chandler.
Visitation will be Friday May 24, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and on
Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
