Barbara Ann Patton

            Services will be 11:00am Friday May 11, 2018 at L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home for Ms. Barbara Ann Patton who departed this life May 4, 2018 at her home.  

            She was born January 19, 1939 in Youngstown, a daughter of Artie and Carlena Knight Patton.  She was a 1956 graduate of South High School and was a graduate of Youngstown Hospital School of Nursing and she had also attended Youngstown University. She had been employed as a Registered Nurse for Youngstown Hospital Association North Side, retiring in 2001.She loved walking in the park, reading and walking her dog. She was an avid Cavaliers, Browns and Ohio State fan.  Her family nick named her the “Pied Piper” for every child in the neighborhood belonged to “BaBa.”  

             She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Brett Patton with whom she made her home; her daughter Carlena Simone Patton of Youngstown; two sisters Sandra Patton Watson of Youngstown and Patricia I. Patton of Bowling Green, Oh.; two brothers Julius V. Patton and Paul M. (Mary) Patton both of Youngstown; a granddaughter Bailey E. Patton of Columbus; sister-in-law Janice Patton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends     

             She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Carlena L. “Connie” Patton and four brothers Leonard, Artie P., Ronald and James R. Patton; and her sister-in-law Bernice Patton.  Friends may call from 9:00-11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home.
