Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church for Ms. Anna Mae Martin, 61, who departed this life Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Ms. Martin was born Dec. 11, 1955, in Youngstown, a daughter of Andrew Sr. and Bernice Clark Carlisle.

She was a 1973 graduate of East High School. A spiritual warrior for God with tremendous faith, Anna was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and its Senior Choir, where she served as treasurer. A loving homemaker, Anna loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother, who had a loving and caring heart.

Anna leaves to mourn her passing, and to rejoice in her peace, two children, Aleenya (Mark) Kendrick and Allen Martin III, both of Columbus; four brothers, Rev. Andrew (Lorinda) Carlisle Jr. of Hubbard, Emmett (Barbara) Carlisle of Georgia, Leotha (Dona) Carlisle of Indiana and O’Neil Pete Clark of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Beatrice Carlisle of Youngstown, Dorothea Carlisle of Maryland and Maybelline Clark of Michigan; seven grandchildren; and a host of family and friends, including Delphine Skinner of Akron.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two children.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the church.
