Memorial Services will be 2:00 Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Rd., Youngstown for Mrs. Yvonne Anita Welcher, 85 of Youngstown, who passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 25, 2017 with her family at her side.

Mrs. Welcher was born February 13, 1932 in Poughkeepsie, New York, a daughter of Hugh and Leehilda Green Henderson.  She was a 1950 graduate of North High School in Youngstown, and had been employed with the Youngstown City Schools, retiring in 1980.  She was a member of Reeds Chapel, McGuffey Centre and the PTA.  She enjoyed crocheting, playing solitare and being with her family.

She leaves to cherish her beloved memory, two sons, Mitchell Welcher of Youngstown, and Stephen (Marchae) Welcher; two grandchildren, Tiffany (Jake) Grahn of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Deanna Welcher of Nashville, TN; a brother, Donald Henderson of Florida; a sister, Shirley Logan of West Middlesex, PA; and a host of family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jollis C., whom she married in November 1954 and who passed away December 28, 2016; a daughter, Janis “Cookie” Welcher; two brothers, Hugh Henderson, Jr. and Allen “Bubba” Henderson; and a sister, Leehilda “Mickie” Wilson.
