Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Miss Special Siera Strickland, 28, of Youngstown who departed this life Thursday, October 20, 2016.

Special was born September 7, 1988 in Wilkesboro, N.C., a daughter of Leo Hawkins and Michelle McGee.  She was a graduate of Liberty High School and enjoyed dancing, music and spending time with loved ones. She was baptized at Temple Emmanuel SDA Church. Special will be dearly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother; three brothers, Unique Anthony Boston of Youngstown,  Xavier Hawkins and Langston Blaine, both of Memphis, Tn.; four sisters, Brittany and Ashley McGee, both of Youngstown, Kennedy Hawkins and Toni Blaine, all of Memphis, Tn.; two grandmothers, Cynthia Boston of Youngstown and Marlon Varga of Memphis, Tn.; one uncle, Burt McGee III, of Youngstown; two aunts, Shawn McGee and Dawn (Milton) McGee Talton, both of Youngstown; one great-aunt, Belinda Pearce  and Lenny of Youngstown; a stepmother, Jeanne Brossette-Hawkins; a stepfather, Andy Russel; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Burt McGee Jr.; great-grandparents, Wilford and Edna Brown, Bert and Jessie McGee; and two uncles, Keith and Kevin McGee.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 12-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
