Mildred Ola Barnes

Services will be 11:00am Friday February 2, 2018 at L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home for Mrs. Mildred Ola Barnes 84, who departed this life January 29, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.  Mrs. Barnes was born August 8, 1933 in Fort Worth, TX. a daughter of Charles H. and Elzader Stewart Gorman.  She was a former member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where she served in the Usher and Missionary Ministries.  She was a member of the NAACP and loved bowling and board games.

She leaves to cherish her memories and rejoice in her peace six children; Barbara Barnes of Youngstown, Darlene Barnes of Newton, KS., Donna Barnes     of Columbus, OH, Timothy (Pam) Barnes of Girard, Oh, Lester (Claudia) Barnes of LosAngles CA. and Clifford (Laura) Barnes of Youngstown; 23 Grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Charlesetta Davis of Ft. Worth, Tx.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence D. Barnes Sr. and a son Clarence Barnes Jr.  Friends may call one hour prior to the services 10-11:00am at the funeral home.
