Marvin Lealon Clardy Jr.April 28, 1947 ~ April 5, 2017 (age 69)
Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Jerusalem Baptist Church for Mr. Marvin Lealon Clardy, Jr., 69, of Boardman, who departed this life, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Select Hospital.
Mr. Clardy was born April 28, 1947 in Youngstown, a son of Marvin L. Sr. and Irene V. Smith Clardy. He was a 1966 graduate of The Rayen School where he was in the Rayen Boys Octet and Accapella Choir. He had been employed with Ohio Edison as an “A” lineman for 20 years and the Youngstown Street Department for over 10 years, retiring in 2007. He was a U. S. Marine veteran. He loved football and was an avid Browns fan. He enjoyed fishing and western movies. Marvin was an avid musician specializing in congas (drums). He was a Jack Rabbit amateur car racer and won 54 trophies
He leaves to mourn his passing, but rejoice in his peace, his daughter, Crystal Hardy of Florida; his sisters and caregivers, Vernoka Ray and Michelle (William) Brown both of Youngstown; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
