Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Antioch Baptist Church for Mrs. Marie Hunt Davis, 78, of Youngstown, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at her residence with her family by her side.

Mrs. Davis was born December 9, 1938 in Gholson, Mississippi, one of 12 children born to Beal and Lillie Bragg Hunt.  She had been employed with Brentwood Originals, and M & M Manufacturing for over 10 years, retiring in 2009.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School Teacher for 30 years and was an usher.  She enjoyed shopping and yard work.  She especially enjoyed being with her family.

She leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice in her peace, her husband, Frank, whom she married June 10, 1990; a brother, Roger (Mary) Hunt of Mississippi; five sisters, Daisy Robinson, Elzenia Lampley, Mary Hunt (Rodney) Anderson all of Youngstown; Dorothy (Everett) Johnson of Mississippi, Janice Hunt (Anthony) Hood of North Chicago, IL;  a host of nieces and nephews, including Matthias and Terry Robinson who helped in her care; and other family and friends.  Special thanks to Lynette Wesley who loved and cared for her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Annie McGinnis, Rebecca Norton and Essie Hunt Smith; two brothers, William V. Hunt and Earnest J. Hunt; and her mother-in-law, Willie Mae Davis.

Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the church.  Arrangements entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
