Services will be 11:00 Wednesday May 17, at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church for Laurene Diane Fortner- McCrae affectionately known as “Ms Peaches” who entered into eternal rest May 10 at her home. 

Ms. McCrae was born August 23, 1951 in Youngstown a daughter of Wallace and Mildred Wilson Fortner. She graduated in 1968 from The Rayen High School.  She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and had been employed as a supervisor for Maui Toys for over 15 years, retiring in 2007. She loved her family dearly and loved to collect elephants. 

She leaves to cherish her memory and rejoice in her peace her mother; three children Latonia, Robert and Daryl McCrae; 8 grandchildren; three cousins who were reared her as siblings, Wilbur, Thomas and Rochelle Ayers; and a host of other relatives and friends.                                                                                                            

She was preceded in death by her father, two sisters, Waldeane Fortner Chilton and Charlotte Wilson and a cousin who was reared with her Robert Ayers. There are no calling hours.  Arrangements were entrusted to L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.
