Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mr. James Albert Fowler, 67, formerly of Youngstown, who departed this life Thursday, June 8, 2017.

Mr. Fowler affectionately known as “Dino,” was born Nov. 14, 1949, in Youngstown, a son of James Frank and Dolores Irene Terrell Fowler. He attended North High School and Choffin Career Center. He was a former member of the Reed’s Chapel A.M.E. Church and attended the Word Church in Cleveland. He had been employed with Youngstown Sheet & Tube (LTV) and the Lorain Steel Company.

He leaves to forever cherish his memories, his mother of Youngstown; a daughter, Marlowe A. Fowler of Youngstown; three grandchildren, Amanda, Leonard and Clemont; a great-granddaughter, Amelia; his sister, Sandra (Joseph) Williams of Youngstown; four aunts including, Jacqueline (Sherwood) Armour, who was like a sister to him; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents James and Mable Fowler, Emma Warren Willis, Charles and Jerusha Terrell.

Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
