Deacon Eddie Lee Miller

Services will be held 11:00a.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church for Deacon Eddie Lee Miller 80, who departed this life January 18, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

Deacon Miller was born June 30, 1937 in Toledo a son of Arguster B. and Katie Bowles Miller.  He was a graduate of South High School and was an Army Veteran.  He had been employed at Commercial Shearing for over 40 years and had also worked for Kollege Tots Childcare and Gary Crim.  He was a faithful member of Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church where he served in the Deacons, Trustees, and Male Chorus Ministries until illness kept him from serving.  He loved bowling and had participated in bowling leagues, loved fishing and was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians fan.  He was also a mechanic and handy man.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife the former Patricia Crenshaw whom he married July 30, 1981; his children Samuel, April and Michael Miller of Youngstown, Robin (Tod) Finley of Columbus, Keith Crenshaw , Eddie Driskell Miller, and Patrick Stephens of Youngstown, Sybrena (Victor) Robinson and Jeremiah (Ashyia) Miller of Virginia and Katie Miller of Youngstown; a brother Sylvester Miller of Hawaii; sisters Cordella Miller of TN. and Ramona (Anthony) Scrutchens; 34 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren other relatives and friends.

He was  preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Regina; two brothers Ravanna Charles Miller and Arguster Miller Jr.; two sisters Shirley Alexander and Lillian Howell.  Friends may call one hour prior to the services 10-11:00am at the church.  Arrangements were entrusted to L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.
