Charles Edward Goodley

Services will be held Thursday at 11:00am February 1, 2018, at L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home, for Mr. Charles E. Goodley,  73, who departed this life on January 24 at his home.  Mr. Goodley was born May 26, 1944 in Birmingham, Ala. a son of Abe and Thelma Core Goodley. He had been employed by Youngstown Sheet & Tube and had attended Phillips Chapel CME. Church.  He loved fishing, hunting and cooking.                                                                                                                             

He leaves to cherish his memories two sons Pastor Louis (Quintona)  Goodley and James (Rachel) Goodley both of Florida; a sister Delores Goodley of the Bronx, NY; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his companion Ava Spann;  his nephew Anthony Goodley of Bronx, NY and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Reginald and Oliver Sims.  

Friends may call one hour prior to the services 10-11:00am at the funeral home.
